If I were Prime Minister......

If I were Prime Minster I would ban plastic bags because they let out toxins for 1000 years or more.  They spoil the landscape and clog waterways.  They also kill birds and sea creatures if they eat them.  They also waste oil because they are made using oil.
I would ban beer holders because fish get tangled in them.
I would pay companies to research new ideas and create jobs.

China Day

We were fortunate enough to have Qi visit the class last week.  She was on holiday in New Zealand with her father, who was working at Massey University for the week.  She shared a fantastic Chinese dance with us and told us all about school in China.  We also got to try on a Chinese army outfit Mrs Kenyon's husband got in China and we saw the fabulous things he was given on some of his trips.  Whaea Ruth showed us how to make Chinese dragons.

Cultural Visitors

We were lucky enough to have visitors from Ghana, Finland and Trinidad and Tobago come and visit us in class.  It was great to learn about their countries.
