Water Safety - Life Jacket Relay

We had to get dressed in a life jacket and goggles and then run with a flutter board between our legs.  It was great fun.  Have a look at the video of Miss Bourke and Mrs Kenyon giving it a go.  Mrs Kenyon won.

Water Safety - Life Jacket Making

For Explore Time today Miss Bourke let us make life jackets out of newspaper.  We weren't allowed to use glue, staples or cellotape.  A big thank you to Mr Carter for judging for us.  The winners were Logan, Gabe and Artemis.

Chihuahua Visit

A big thank you to Helen (Ruder's mum) for bringing two of her chihuahua pups in for a visit.  Sparkles is a 4 week old girl, and the other (no name) is a 4 weeks old boy).  Sparkles is going over to live with a family in Australia.

My Local Treasure

My Local Treasure
The light blue birds are tweeting, the water is sparkling, the wind is blowing in my hair. Nature is all around me. This is my local treasure, Lankayan Island. There is a long bridge under me, there is a big building in front of me, at the back is the royal medium house and the beach. There are beautiful forest green trees in front of me. It’s a very calm and peaceful place.

My Local Treasure
Feel the breeze, the oxygen around me, my heart is pumping as I watch the ducks and swans swim past in the diamond blue river. I gaze at a bird spread his wings and take too the skies. The cool stones, the trees shaking their lime green leaves. Nature is all around me. The pea green grass waving in the breeze, the water running down the stream. I’m in LOVE!!!
