Ireland is in the continent of Europe.  The population is 4.59 million in Ireland.   The capital of Ireland is Dublin.  In Ireland they play the bag pipes and a violin.  The celebrations are St Patricks Day.  They speak English and Irish.  In Ireland there are leprechauns and four leaf clovers.

If we are going to travel to other countries in the world how will we get there?  Flying carpet, machine, tele-porter, hot air balloon, flying shoes.....?  LC16 had lots of ideas.  Today we had fun making out travel machines.  Check some of them out.

Shshshshsh…..  It’s a nice day at the Cook Islands beach.  I just love the fleshly picked coconuts and the milk.  It was awesome seeing the people on the jet skis.

Wow!  This is awesome.  I have just arrived at the Cook Islands.  It’s like 40 degrees!  I can see people catching fish and crabs and a man opening a coconut.  There is a beach and a girl with a flower in her hair.

Cupcake's babies visit LC16

We were fortunate enough to meet Cupcake's babies yesterday  They were gorgeous and loved having cuddles with us.

Waitoetoe Park (EOTC)

We always have plenty of fun visiting Waitoetoe Park.  On this visit we went for a bush walk, mulched some more trees, rubbed leaves and had a game of seaweed and bat down.

 

Boat Making and Floating

As part of our Education Out of the Classroom (EOTC) week, we had a go at making our own boats.  Some floated better than others.

Awapuni Library

We had a wonderful time visiting the Awapuni Library this term.  It was amazing how many children hadn't been before.  Seeing the children with their own library cards was a real treat.  We will be lucky enough to have the Mobile Library visit us in Term 2 and 3.
